About
The Bjerknes Climate Prediction Unit (BCPU) is developing skillful climate predictions for these intermediate timescales, bridging the gap between weather forecasting and long-term climate change projections. The prediction unit assembles a team of world-class scientists at the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research (https://bjerknes.uib.no/) – model developers, observationalists, theoreticians, and forecasters – to develop the World’s most skillful prediction system for northern climate. 2. Purpose and Limitations of AI-Generated Results
The results generated by our app are intended for exploratory purposes only and may contain uncertainties. These results should not be relied upon for critical decisions, including management or political decisions, and should not be used as scientific evidence. We strongly encourage users to verify and cross-check all results with appropriate expertise before making any decisions based on them.
3. Transparency and Disclosure
We are transparent about the fact that data is processed by OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 API. This disclosure is crucial for informed decision-making about how you interact with the app. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with OpenAI’s privacy practices by reviewing their Privacy Policy.
4. Addressing AI’s Stochastic Nature
AI models can produce different outputs from the same input due to their stochastic nature. To mitigate this, our app performs additional tests and runs the model multiple times to assess the consistency of the results. Nevertheless, users should remain aware of this variability and treat the results accordingly.
